Whenever I travel with German trains (or say "goodbye" to anyone traveling by train) I question where the world-famous German reliability and punctuality is these days. Either you go by train on the hottest day of the year with a broken air condition or the train which is planned for departure at 5.57 pm is just 25 minutes late while being under repair.
I don't know how other nations, especially the APAC-countries, manage to deliver a perfect rail experience to the customers but Germany lost a lot of its adventurous flair here over the last two decades. Traveling by train is simply an adventure here today, in one extent or the other!

@oliver that happens when capitalism is responsible for infrastructure. The Deutsche Bahn has to deliver money, not people or goods.
It took 20 years of privatization to ruin the German image.
