Brick facade of 'The Anchor' pub with red window frames and signage displaying the name and beverage offerings. A chalkboard sign advertises a Sunday roast near the entryway. The pub features intricate details like potted plants and vines climbing around and above the entrance, which is labeled "Main Entrance & Roof Garden." The street is cobblestoned, enhancing the traditional appeal.

The Anchor is a pub in the London Borough of Southwark. It is in the Bankside locality on the south bank of the River Thames, close to Southwark Cathedral and London Bridge station. A tavern establishment has been at the pub's location for over 800 years and I stumbled upon this great scenery by coincidence back in 2015.
